Future Voices: National Cultural Policy Youth Forum

Presented by Young People and the Arts Australia and Backbone Youth Arts as part of the annual Backbone 2high festival, this forum is an opportunity for young people to participate in conversations and contribute your ideas in the momentous shaping of our National Cultural Policy.

Together, we will interrogate ideas of your experiences in arts and culture including: barriers to access and participation, the role of culture in your life, digitalisation of the arts, education, career pathways, community engagement, sustainable arts practices and more. We will ask you to imagine what you'd like to see in the future for Australian arts and culture.

If you are passionate about arts and culture in your life, this is an event not to be missed.

Your comments and ideas will be provided directly to the federal Office for the Arts by the Australian Youth Forum (AYF). Your voices will be heard and you can make a real difference with your participation in this event.

It is also a great day to network with industry professionals, and there will be representation from the following organisations: Backbone Youth Arts, Queensland Arts Council, Local Government Association of QLD, Youth Arts Queensland, Human Ventures, Contact Inc, Circa, Markwell Presents, Access Arts, Smart Arts, Flipside Circus, Feral Arts, Young People and the Arts Australia, the AYF Steering Committee and more.

The Future Voices: Australian National Cultural Policy Youth Forum is one half of a two-stage forum, which is part of the brilliant Backbone Youth Arts' 2high Festival program.
The first section consists of the following 45 minute Q & A panel:
