Kijimuna Festa 2012 and ASSITEJ Int. Meeting, Japan
At the ASSITEJ World Congress in Copenhagen and Malmoe in May 2011, the General Assembly of ASSITEJ adopted a new Constitution and established a new possibility for the gathering of the artists on a global level.
They now announce the 2012 ASSITEJ International Meeting and artistic gathering of ASSITEJ will take place in Okinawa City, JAPAN, from the 28th July to the 5th August 2012, in conjunction with Kijimuna Festa - the International Theater Festival OKINAWA for Young Audience.
With the working topic “Theater: Nuchigusui” (Nuchigusui is ‘healer of life’ in Okinawan dialect), it will be an event for people in theatre for children and young people from all over the world to meet, interact, and develop new creative opportunities.
The Kijimuna Festa and ASSITEJ international meeting will focus on Asian theater and will present representative choice of Asian performances, offer numerous seminars and workshops and will hold the forum: Theater for Children and Young People in Asia - Possibilities and Offers.
It will also include performances from all around the world to be presented at the festival. If you want to learn more about Asian theater, if you want to establish connections and exchange with Asian artists, but also if you want to meet friends from all around the world and see world selection of the performances, do not miss the first ever ASSITEJ International Meeting, Okinawa July 2012.
YPAA would love to see as many YPAA members as possible at this occasion in Okinawa.
