Research and Information

YPAA keeps abreast of existing and current research identifying the social, educational and cultural impacts of arts programs on young people.  This information can increase your knowledge of arts practice for young people, provide you with new information or professional development contacts and networks, or offer new ways of talking about the importance of the arts for young people.

Resources available on this site include summaries of significant independant research, reports and tool kits produced by YPAA, and conference and symposium papers.

AusStage

AusStage is a national on-line electronic database of theatre research, bringing together many existing resources (from within the participating universities and other theatre research organisations) and catering for future data collection and collaborative research. AusStage can handle complex relational queries and that will ultimately unite extensive data that covers three strands of theatre research with important social and cultural implications, these are:

  • theatre history
  • the cultural and commercial analysis of the production and consumption of performances
  • audience analysis
